Material List / Part Lookup

About the project:

During a transition of CMMS systems, I was made aware that the new systems would not, at first, be loaded with the material lists for the assets. I recognized that this would create a significant challenge for maintenance personnel trying to find parts. Over the past 20 years, we had built this information into the system we were leaving, so I exported the list of assets and parts, from the old system, into Excel. Once I had the information in Excel I was able to clean up the data and created a tool that the maintenance team could use for looking up the parts associated with a particular asset.

Using VBA, I created a userform with a treeview, which contained a replication of the ~42,000 nodes of the previous system. It also included cross-referenced asset and material numbers for the new system. The tool also provides functionality for transferring the information.
